Each design is an attempt at implementing elements of
running performance that are examined in this field of research.
The second photo is a brief outline of some of the major topics
I’ve come across in publications and use as a framework to guide design decisions.
Finding a place among the breadth of talent in the footwear design space can easily
become a demoralizing venture, so what I try to establish across projects is
a constant theme of running performance.
Though the term innovation is thrown around loosely, I think a prioritization of
enhanced function pushes designs to stay true to its intended meaning,
provides notable value, and naturally builds distinction
even amid more visually appealing works.
